ccording to the Panth Parvanat Sikh Rehat Maryada, one of the primary conditions for a person to qualify as a Sikh  is that he "should faithfully believe in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the utterances and teachings by all ten Gurus and the baptism bequeathed by the tenth Guru". Hence having unflinching faith in Gurbani of all the Gurus is  important for every Sikh claimant. It is the Gurbani of all the Gurus that makes us Sikhs and sustains our identity as Sikhs.

The sacred Bani of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib is collected in Sri Dasam Granth Sahib, the second most respected scripture of the Sikhs after Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. In addition of being the source of the Banis of Sikh Baptism (Amrit Sanchar), Daily Prayer (Nitnem) and Ardas, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib is also the only source from where the terminologies, phrases and concepts of the Khalsa are derived. Some prominent examples are, 'Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh', 'Deg Teg Fateh', 'Bipran Ki Reet', 'Panth', 'Khalsa', 'Khanda', 'Kirpan', 'Sarab-loh', 'Dharam-Yudh' etc.

Apart from disseminating constructive understanding of this sacred book of the Sikhs, this website aims at propagating the Gurbani of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib in a positive spirit. Writings and articles of some of the most prominent contemporary Sikh scholars, thinkers and academicians are published on this website.
